BIOGRAPHY

Andrea Lynn Cianflone has touched the hearts of audiences in mesmerizing performances. Cianflone began to understand early on the power of music. “As a young child, I practiced the piano, violin, dance and composition of music. Yet, I fell in love with singing! Music has a transcending effect on peoples’ hearts and minds, and I strongly desire to be a part of that beautiful mystery.” That ‘mystery’ has allowed Cianflone to entertain and inspire myriad audiences with music. Cianflone embraces her audiences with a theatrical flair.  She brings an expansive vocal range that spans from a powerfully rich intensity to a reflective and diminutive gentleness, all the while embracing her audience with a delightful sense of humor.

Cianflone's career spans from opera to musical theater to crossover-pop as both a stage performer, recording artist and her latest role as “singing TV host.”  She has been in operatic productions of Pagliacci, Stiffelio, Don Giovanni, Cavalleria Rusticana, and Lakmé. Cianflone played the role of Rachel in the world premiere musical Neighbors and the role of Maria Callas in the world premiere play/musical La Divina produced by Minnesota Concert Opera. She has been brought to the national spotlight through interviews, performances, and guest appearances on NBC, CBS, Lifetime, Sirius Satellite and her 2015 National Anthem performance at the St. Louis Rams vs. Browns NFL Game in St. Louis. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards and honors including the American Composer’s Forum Encore Grant, Schubert Club Grant, Anna-Maria Saritelli-DiPanni Bel Canto Voice Scholarship, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Minnesota District Encouragement Award, and Two Consecutive First Place Thursday Musical Voice Competition Awards.  Cianflone equally enjoys the concert and recital stage, having sung for such places as the Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, IDS Center Underglass Series, Art Song Preservation Society, the Minneapolis Women’s Club, and the Schubert Club Courtroom Concert Series.Cianflone is ecstatic about music performance, music education, and arts’ issues as it pertains to our society’s working class artists.  Andrea is a humanitarian who has been an invited guest performer, speaker, and/or MC at numerous gala events nationally for a variety of organizations including Rotary, Emerging Global Leaders, BioEthics International, Templeton Foundation, Good Counsel Homes, Open Arms AIDS Charity, Peace House Foundation, Legatus, Lumen Institute, Benefits from the Heart at Mall of America Grand Rotunda, and World Youth Alliance.
